ClickAction/MySoftware - Palo Alto, CA (March
1998 – July 2002 ) VP Information Technology and Systems - Email
marketing and small business software manufacturer. Responsible for staffing and managing the systems,
network, web and facilities groups while personally developing internal
business process applications, websites and reports. Designed and coded corporate custom multi-user
systems including subscriptions sales, email marketing billing, invoicing and cash application. Created all management
reports including bill of materials, inventory control, monthly revenue, and
year to date statistics. Designed
and coded generic as well as custom list processing tools for populating client
“production database”. Implemented,
managed and maintained 24x7 “must be up” high traffic, high profile load
balanced and clustered website.
Implemented or wrote backend for over 10 custom web sites including
EmailEducation.com, MyCalendar.net, GrowMyBusiness.com, Echampions2000.com,
ClickAction.com and MySoftware.com.
Backend development included secure online real-time credit card
processing, interactive form submission, on-line
product registration, lead value scoring and secure content delivery. Platforms used include Windows 2000 Advanced
Server, Microsoft SQL Server (6.5, 7 and 2000), Oracle, Active server pages,
Visual Basic, Java / Vbscript, Visual FoxPro 7.0,
6.0, 5.0.3.0 and 2.6 for Windows, COM and COM+, HTML, IIS, TCP/IP, XML, SOAP,
BizTalk, SSL, Web Services, Visual Source Safe, and Perl.
Software Designs - San Carlos, CA (September 1997 to March 1998) – Consultant – Responsible for writing specifications, designing and programming custom IT solutions for various existing and new businesses. Successful projects completed include Direct Sales System, Electronic Product Registration, Internet Sales Processing, On-Line Credit Card Processing and Technical Support Help Desk Processing. Implemented SoloCup’s Web site http://www.solocup.com. Fluent in Visual FoxPro, Active Server Pages, Oracle, SQL Server, Visual Basic, Microsoft Access, Windows 95 and Windows NT.
Equilibrium – Sausalito, CA (April 1996 – September 1997) - Vice President Product Development – developer and publisher of automated computer graphics software. Responsible for first internal engineering department. Staffed and managed the engineering, technical writing, QA, and technical support departments. Successfully released the award winning DeBabelizer Pro Windows/NT an MFC - C++ project, in an eight-month effort, which included many innovations including the “Action Arrow”.
Academic Connections – Los Angeles, CA (February 1995 – April 1996) - Senior Vice President Technology - retail prescriptive education provider. Responsible for specification, design and development of the automated skill testing, evaluation, lesson prescription student tracking, and business back-end from a paper system to a fully integrated Microsoft Windows based networked/on-line environment.
American Video Entertainment Inc - Burlingame, CA (February 1990 – February 1995) -President and founder - developer, publisher and manufacturer of Nintendo compatible video games. Responsible for the marketing, sales, manufacturing, design, development, and packaging of 16 games and 2 compilations for the Nintendo Entertainment System. AVE was featured in a PBS "Frontline" edition and an infomercial starring Hulk Hogan.
